Codes Of Conduct  

As a member of Flipping Out Gymnastics, you are expected to abide by the following club rules:​

​

  • Respect fellow gymnasts and coaches​. For their own safety gymnasts MUST follow the instructions of the coaches at all times. Coach may ask Gymnast to take a time out if they are behaving in an unsafe manner.​

  • Gymnasts must not climb on or use any of the gymnastics equipment unless they are instructed to do so by their coach at any time. In the event of this happening a coach may ask Gymnast to take a time out.​

  • You must inform one of the coaches of any injuries or illness or concerns you have before the warm-up begins.​

  • Flipping Out expects good behaviour at all times. Should poor behaviour be displayed on a regular basis we will contact the gymnast’s parents/ guardians and ask that they be

  • collected early. Should poor behaviour be constantly displayed the participant may be asked not to return to the club.

  • All gymnasts are required to be dressed suitably for their relevant class. (leotard, shorts, leggings, t-shirt, track bottoms) socks MUST be removed when training. An exception to

  • this rule is when the gymnast must wear a sock if they have a verruca etc.

  • Long hair must be tied back at all times. No jewellery is to be worn in the gym. All body piercings must be removed before training.

  • All gymnasts are required to attend their sessions on time so we would ask that they are here at least 5 minutes before the class is due to start and MUST wait in the waiting room to the left of the hall. Please do on leave your gymnasts unattended. Best behaviour is expected at this time as to not disrupt classes and coaches.

  • No food or drinks to be had in the gym (all food and drink to be placed on the benches)​​

  • Always ask your coach permission to leave the gym to use the toilet or to have a drink​​

  • Gymnasts must be collected on time. We are unable to let gymnasts leave the gym without a suitable adult/ parent collecting them. Gymnasts are to stay with coach until picked up by their parent/guardian. Gymnasts are under no circumstance allowed to leave the gym without notifying a coach first.​

  • Any injuries that occur within the gym must be reported to a coach, at the time, in order that the relevant accident forms are completed.​

  • Competition squad members have to condition and stretch both in training and at home. They must recognise that a competition place is based upon their ability and behaviour and is subject to continual review in order to best benefit you. You must understand that a place in the competition squad involves a commitment to participate in any competitions that your coach has deemed suitable for you. you should behave appropriately at competitions and remember you are representing the club at all times​
